About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Cleared Security Officer. Officers receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols and have opportunities for skill development and professional growth. The listed pay is USD $24.21 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Department of Defense position-appropriate security clearance.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have at least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site, or prior military experience.
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.

Nice To Haves

Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and oral communication to the client and/or other security personnel.
Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
