About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required - Unarmed). The role is entrusted with sensitive information and is responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. The officer receives specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with their clearance level, supporting skill development and professional growth in the security field. The position pays $32.46 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate level security clearance.
• At least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• The posting also lists active DoD Secret Clearance, security experience, and two or more years of supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and oral communication to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
