About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a position requiring a Department of Defense security clearance. The officer is entrusted with sensitive information and is responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. The role includes specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with the officer’s clearance level, supporting skill development and professional growth in security.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate security clearance.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• At least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site, or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services while safeguarding personnel, property, and information professionally.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and oral communication to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
