About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a Department of Defense-cleared site in the Moorestown, New Jersey area. The position requires an appropriate level of DoD security clearance and involves protecting personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information. Officers receive site-specific training in security protocols associated with their clearance level. The listed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Schedules will be announced during the interview process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Appropriate level of Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience at a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Professional demeanor.
• Applicable state or local licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and oral communication to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
