About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer Building Lobby Ambassador for a commercial real estate location in Costa Mesa, California. The officer will safeguard the property while providing customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel. The role includes patrols, access control support, incident response, and professional communication with site personnel and emergency responders. The position has a mix of shifts, with the listed schedule: Monday and Tuesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to site procedures.
Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, property personnel, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming environment for occupants and guests.
