Security Officer Part Time Armed
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for an assigned financial institution site in Saint Louis, Missouri. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, along with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and conducting armed patrols. The role also involves responding to alarms and incidents, monitoring access, reporting concerns, maintaining armed-post qualifications, and handling authorized equipment in compliance with laws and company policies. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law. The employee must participate in industry-specific security training. Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required before employment.
Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- An armed guard card or license.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities at a financial institution.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, ATMs, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond calmly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
