About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer responsible for the safety and security of protected facilities. Officers serve as a visible deterrent to crime and violations of client rules, and detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal activity that could threaten the property, clients, guests, or employees. The role pays $23.34 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Minimum of three years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• Minimum age of 21, or higher if required by the state.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate and write clear, concise incident or situation reports.
• Ability to complete all range qualifications and functions.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Preserve order and enforce site rules, regulations, and directives.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
• Greet and assist guests and employees, escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, and secure classified information.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in written and verbal communications.
• Interact with the client and other security personnel regarding execution of orders when appropriate.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms, act as a first responder in emergencies, and provide first aid as necessary.
