About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for an assigned financial institution site in Temple Terrace, Florida. The position offers a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary based on picked-up shifts, with the opportunity to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $18.58 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities. The role includes armed patrols, access monitoring, responding to incidents and alarms, and completing required activity and incident reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain awareness of activity at the location.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records.
