About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for patrol operations at a government services location in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $19.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, patrols, and emergency response activities. Responsibilities include monitoring access points and restricted areas, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting patrols and activity. Employment is conditional on background and drug screening, as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific post orders and applicable armed response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
