About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to support a government location in Land O Lakes, Florida. The officer will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor access and visitor activity, and respond professionally to incidents and security concerns. The role includes providing customer service, communicating clearly, following site-specific procedures, and documenting patrol activity and observations. The posted pay rate is $23.25 per hour, with scheduled shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Possess a Corrections Officer License.
Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons.
Handcuffing Certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with company and site policies.
Maintain professional readiness and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and procedures related to the armed patrol assignment.
