Part-Time Armed Security Officer

About The Position

The Armed Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives for the client site relating to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. Full training is provided. The position is part-time, based in Wichita, Kansas, and identified as a weekend shift. The stated wage is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have above-average computer and technology skills.
Have excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Be able to work independently.
Remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Have strong attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Maintain a professional demeanor.
Be willing to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

Previous armed experience and/or certification is preferred.
Experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is described as a good fit.
