About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Wichita, Kansas. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. The role requires providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.05 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and escalating matters as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel or emergency responders.
Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
