About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Screening Specialist at a logistics and distribution location in Carol Stream, Illinois, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people, packages, shipments, vehicles, and/or materials according to site procedures. You will remain attentive, communicate professionally, document observations, and help deter security-related incidents while providing customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel.

The position includes monitoring access points, verifying authorized entry, responding to incidents and critical situations, and conducting regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by location. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.04 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or personnel at a logistics and distribution location, following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, vehicles, and/or individuals entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to help protect operations and property.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills in incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter.
