About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned retail superstore site in Fishkill, New York. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The role offers flexibility to work varying part-time hours and the opportunity to build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 6:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify store personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and customer and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
