Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol - Campus
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an educational campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, visitors, and other campus community members. The role follows campus procedures and site-specific policies and may involve emergency response activities. The schedule is daytime: Saturday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM, and Sunday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable law.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events, following campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate campus contacts.
- Prepare accurate and timely activity, incident, and daily reports in accordance with site requirements.
