About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Campus Patrol in Cambridge, Massachusetts, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication. You will help support a welcoming environment and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local law, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
Monitor property access, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and remain aware of activity throughout assigned areas.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly according to company and site procedures.
