Security Officer Full Time Logistics Access
About The Position
As a Security Officer (Access Control) in Long Beach, California, you will help safeguard clients and maintain a secure, welcoming environment. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, respond to access-related concerns, conduct routine patrols, and provide customer service and communication. The position is full-time and pays $19.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and access-control concerns.
- Provide customer service to clients.
