About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed security officer for a food and beverage location in Kinston, North Carolina. The officer will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and facilities by conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting observations. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and pays $14.18 per hour. The position is part of a team-oriented workplace guided by integrity, reliability, and innovation. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food production, warehouse, shipping and receiving, parking, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
