About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to support access control at a critical utilities location in Bowling Green, Florida. The officer will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and maintain a professional, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary according to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site requirements.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, following established emergency response and notification procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Accurately document observations, incidents, access-control activities, and shift information; communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
