Security Officer Full Time Access Control
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Access Control Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Chino, California. The officer will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and assisting visitors and employees. The role also involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and supporting a professional site presence. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. The scheduled hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing may be required before employment.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required for employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures and access control policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and directing authorized personnel.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed by policy.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter.
- Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs in accordance with company and site procedures.
