Security Officer Full Time Access Control

About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer in Fontana, California, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, assist employees and visitors, and support badge-related processes using computer or tablet systems. The role calls for professional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. The position provides customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Officers monitor security systems and conduct patrols of designated interior and exterior areas. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Verify credentials, monitor entry and exit activity, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and other security equipment, and report irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
