About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time overnight Security Officer in West Columbia, South Carolina, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role focuses on managing site access, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries. The officer maintains a visible presence, provides customer service, communicates clearly, and helps deter security-related incidents. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Thursday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Pay is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and document the entry and exit of authorized vehicles, personnel, visitors, and deliveries according to established procedures.
Verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, issue access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
