About The Position

As a full-time overnight Security Officer in Shippingport, Pennsylvania, you will safeguard a manufacturing and industrial client by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will help deter incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. The role involves access control and customer service at an industrial construction location. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, inspect deliveries as directed, and help deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; document observations and promptly report concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
