About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for overnight screening at a logistics and distribution location in Walton, Kentucky. The officer will help safeguard employees, drivers, visitors, and deliveries by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and maintaining a visible security presence. The role includes providing customer service, following site-specific access-control procedures, responding to security concerns, and supporting a secure environment. The position pays $15.95 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Employees have access to tools for viewing and claiming additional shifts, paid training, career-growth opportunities, and company benefits.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR certification.
X-ray screening experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and driver access records.
Control access to loading areas, distribution facilities, gates, and other restricted locations in accordance with site policies.
Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to identify security-related concerns.
