About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer performing security screening in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, you will safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will help create a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating clearly with employees and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting security-related procedures. The role is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $17.63 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, and vendors by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and directing individuals to check-in areas.
Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and other security concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security concerns.
