About The Position

As a full-time Screening Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Hagerstown, Maryland, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, reporting security-related concerns, and delivering customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication help deter incidents while supporting efficient operations. The role includes a day schedule with shifts listed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Pay is $17.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized deliveries according to site access requirements and screening procedures.
Inspect packages, parcels, and personal items as directed by site policy, and document and report prohibited or suspicious items.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
