About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Screening Specialist in Jeffersonville, Indiana, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will support a welcoming and secure environment by screening visitors and employees, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and reporting security-related concerns. The role calls for professionalism, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach to deter incidents and support daily operations.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries according to access-control requirements; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, and screening equipment; report irregularities, prohibited items, and access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
