About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screening Specialist in North Andover, Massachusetts. The role supports a welcoming and secure environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Duties include X-ray screening, access control and badge management, use of computer or tablet systems, customer service, and helping deter security-related incidents. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and pays $20.44 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries by verifying identification, reviewing access authorization, and directing people to appropriate check-in points.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and assigned areas for unusual activity, prohibited items, and access-control concerns; report observations through established communication channels.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned business areas and the perimeter, document observations, and help deter unauthorized access.
