About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Okeechobee, Florida, you will help maintain a secure correctional environment by screening people and permitted items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will communicate professionally and provide customer service while supporting site procedures. The role involves carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

This is a part-time position scheduled for Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Additional shifts may be available through the Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Screen people and permitted items in a correctional environment.
• Monitor access points and report security-related concerns.
• Provide professional communication and customer service while supporting site procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
