About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The officer will use screening equipment and established procedures to help identify prohibited items and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, drivers, and shipments. The role includes maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally, documenting security-related activity, and providing customer service.

The scheduled hours are Thursday 7:00 PM–5:00 AM, Friday 7:00 PM–6:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Sunday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.47 per hour. Employment is subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and shipments according to established procedures, and report prohibited items, irregularities, or access concerns to site leadership.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery documentation, and access authorization for personnel, contractors, and visitors entering designated areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow applicable site procedures, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
