About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for Screening Operations in New Stanton, Pennsylvania. The officer will serve a technology, media, and telecommunications location, helping maintain a welcoming and secure environment by screening visitors and personnel, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role requires a visible presence to help deter incidents. The schedule is overnight: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and access-screening protocols.
Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and deliveries; escalate prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
Verify credentials and authorized access for visitors, vendors, and contractors, and maintain accurate visitor and screening documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; follow emergency response activities and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
