Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations

About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer working in Screening Operations at a logistics and distribution location in West Palm Beach, Florida, you will help safeguard people and property by screening people, packages, and belongings; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. The role involves following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.24 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and belongings according to established site procedures, and report prohibited items, irregularities, and access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for individuals entering designated areas, and maintain accurate logs and required documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, dock areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
