About The Position

As a Security Officer High Rise Security in Los Angeles, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide customer service and professional communication. The role involves working collaboratively and acting with integrity while representing Allied Universal. This is a full-time position paying $21.60 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 1:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 5:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditioned on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and report relevant information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures while maintaining awareness of activity throughout the property.
Communicate professionally with tenants and site personnel, provide directions and assistance, and promptly escalate security-related concerns.
