About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer for an educational location in New York, NY. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with customer service. The role involves communicating clearly, responding to security-related concerns, and contributing to a welcoming campus environment. The position pays $20.40–$21.40 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday and Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, follow campus protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access to assigned areas, check credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and provide directions and assistance to campus community members and visitors.
