About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Dispatch in Houston, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The officer provides customer service and security support at a commercial property, responds to incidents and alarms, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access and activity, and prepares reports. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and is subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.
