About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in a healthcare setting in Watertown, NY, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the client’s property. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, and respond to security concerns with integrity. The role is part-time, with scheduled shifts Monday through Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, at $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports.
• Communicate with healthcare staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
