About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Durham, North Carolina, you will safeguard clients at a healthcare location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role includes providing customer service and communication and using computer or tablet systems as needed.

This is a full-time position scheduled Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.46 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious behavior or security-related issues.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site requirements.
