About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in San Carlos, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in a public transit environment. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors professionally. The role involves communicating clearly, reporting observations, and supporting a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring assigned entrances, facilities, and transportation-related areas in accordance with site procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
