About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to alarms and access-control needs, documenting observations, and providing customer service to visitors and personnel. The role pays $23.42 per hour and is scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local rules. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may need to be satisfied before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with alarm panels.
Experience with access control systems and/or badges.
Possession of a guard card or license.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, assist with authorized entry, and maintain required logs.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
