About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for loss prevention patrol in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role provides reliable scheduled hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts at other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the ability to scale back when needed.

The scheduled shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The position supports security procedures, site-specific policies, customer service, incident response, and regular patrols of the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Loss prevention experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
