About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol security officer for a retail location in Louisville, Kentucky. The officer will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, observe for loss prevention concerns, and provide customer service to visitors and team members. The role pays $18.57 per hour and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The position involves patrolling retail areas and the surrounding property, monitoring access points, responding professionally to incidents and concerns, and communicating and documenting security-related activity. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.

Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity; report security concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Communicate with site management, retail personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
Document incidents and daily activities.
