About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for overnight shifts at an assigned logistics and distribution site in Walton, Kentucky. The role offers a fixed weekly shift commitment for six months, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may provide the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $15.95 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• X-ray screening experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and access control protocols, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen vehicles, drivers, and deliveries according to site procedures, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas as needed.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
