About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in West Point, Virginia. The position is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours while allowing the officer to pick up additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift serves as an “anchor shift” and requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be available at multiple sites, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed.

The role focuses on badge verification and access control, customer service, monitoring and documenting site activity, responding to alarms and incidents, and conducting patrols. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Wednesday, 12:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel and deliveries according to facility requirements.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the perimeter to identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate documentation of visitor activity, access-control events, incidents, and shift handoffs.
