About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned site in Columbia, South Carolina. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule intended to offer reliable hours, with the option to claim additional shifts at this or other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. The fixed-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work additional hours and build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back.

The listed schedule is Friday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, responds to incidents, conducts patrols, monitors access, and prepares reports.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility, production, and parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
