About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Baton Ready Patrol in Miami, Florida. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned government site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up additional shifts, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $22.53 per hour. The schedule is Monday, 9:30 AM–8:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location, following site procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public concerns, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry under site policies, and direct visitors and contractors to appropriate locations.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
