About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned site in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The role offers a reliable weekly anchor schedule, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shifts. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

The listed schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The position involves providing customer service while following security procedures and site policies, monitoring and controlling access, maintaining records, and responding calmly to incidents. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles, and must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access to the location, greet visitors, and verify credentials according to site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, and incident records, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
