About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Contraband Detection in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned retail location, with a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The pay rate is $16.99 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 6:00 PM–10:30 PM, and Sunday, 7:00 PM–11:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include screening people entering designated areas, verifying access authorization, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas, verify access authorization, and direct visitors as needed.
• Observe entry points, customer areas, and surrounding activity for unusual conditions or policy concerns, and promptly report findings to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations by following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
