About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for an assigned retail distribution location in Savannah, Georgia. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a required six-month commitment to that assignment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform and can vary their hours, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The position pays $16.26 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. The role involves customer service, site access control, monitoring and screening people and vehicles, responding to incidents, and conducting facility and perimeter patrols.

Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
