About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in Houston, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional hours may vary, and employees can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The listed pay rate is $16.48 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 4:00 AM–12:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents, patrols the facility, monitors access and conditions, and documents activities and observations. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State and/or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including business areas and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access activity, visitor traffic, and facility conditions, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations according to site-specific requirements.
