About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned site in Independence, Kentucky. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at a designated site, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The scheduled shift is Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $18.22 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols at a distribution facility and its surrounding areas, monitoring access and traffic, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting activities.

Applicants must meet age and education requirements and may be subject to background investigations and drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable laws. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Undergo drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, parking areas, loading zones, trailer yards, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and help maintain orderly traffic flow for employees, visitors, contractors, and commercial vehicles.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and access-related activity according to company and site requirements.
